V-Soft Lift

V-Soft Lift PDO Threads with Dr. E. Ronald Finger

Dr.Finger offers the V-Soft Lift, an advanced PDO thread lift procedure designed to improve facial contours and address visible signs of aging. This minimally invasive treatment uses dissolvable PDO threads to gently lift sagging skin, restore definition, and stimulate natural collagen production.

The procedure is performed in-office and typically takes less than an hour. Results are seen almost immediately and continue to improve over several months as new collagen develops. Most patients enjoy the benefits of the treatment for up to eighteen months. Because this is a nonsurgical technique, recovery time is minimal, and patients are able to return to their regular activities shortly after the procedure.

How V-Soft Lift PDO Threads Work

Over time, factors such as sun exposure, smoking, poor nutrition, and lack of quality sleep can accelerate the aging process. These changes contribute to fine lines, volume loss, and skin laxity. The V-Soft Lift addresses these concerns by placing dissolvable PDO threads beneath the skin where they provide structure and lift.

As the threads gradually dissolve, they stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, leading to firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin over time.

Lifting Threads vs Smoothing Threads

Dr. Finger offers both lifting and smoothing PDO threads to meet different needs. Each type of thread serves a specific purpose:

Lifting Threads (V-Soft Lift)

Lifting threads are designed to reposition sagging skin and provide definition to areas that have lost structure. These threads are commonly used to improve:

  • Jowls and lower face contour

  • Neck
  • Jawline definition

  • Cheek and midface support

  • Eyebrow position

  • Above the knees
  • Thighs potentially in the right patient

Patients notice an immediate improvement after placement, and results continue to refine as collagen develops around the threads.

Smoothing Threads

Smoothing threads are thinner and placed more superficially. They are designed to improve skin texture and treat fine lines in delicate areas where volume loss or creasing is common. Smoothing threads are often used for:

  • Vertical lines above the lips

  • Subtle lip enhancement and definition

  • Acne scars
  • Necklace lines across the neck

  • Fine lines in areas where the skin is thinner

  • Buttocks and Legs

These threads focus less on lifting and more on creating structure and collagen support, which leads to smoother, firmer skin.

Results and Longevity

About 30% of results are visible immediately, with the remaining improvement developing gradually over three to four months as collagen builds. Results typically last 18 months to 2 years on average, but this depends on the area treated, the number and type of threads used, as well as age and lifestyle.

What to Expect

PDO thread-lifting is performed in-office and usually takes 45 minutes or less. There is little to no downtime, though mild swelling or bruising can occur for a few days. While PDO threads are ideal for mild to moderate sagging, they are not a replacement for a surgical facelift. When needed, Dr. Finger will discuss whether a traditional facelift may provide better results.

PDO threads are safe for all skin tones and benefit both men and women.

PDO Threads fill a very important gap in nonsurgical rejuvenation!

Fillers can be used to restore volume and do some lifting by default, but fillers are not designed to reposition tissue, creating a void of non-invasive options to address sagging facial skin. HA fillers such as Juvederm or, Restylane are short lasting in comparison to PDO threads, however combining HA fillers with PDO Threads can yield amazing results when used properly. Sculptra is an option, and so is Radiesse, but the best course of action for sagging skin is lifting threads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are VsoftLift PDO-Threads?

Dr. E. Ronald Finger performs VsoftLift PDO-Threads at Finger and Associates in Savannah, Georgia for minimally-invasive face and body rejuvenation. These collagen-stimulating PDO-Threads are designed to help support aging skin, improve visible structure, smooth fine lines, and encourage collagen and elastin fiber production over time.

Patients throughout Savannah, Georgia, the Coastal Empire, Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Wilmington Island, Tybee Island, The Landings, Dutch Island, and surrounding Lowcountry communities seek Dr. Finger for advanced PDO-Thread treatments because of his extensive experience and natural-looking results.

What is the difference between PDO smoothing threads and lifting threads?

Dr. Finger uses PDO smoothing threads for skin texture improvement, collagen stimulation, and delicate areas with fine wrinkling or crepey skin. Smoothing threads are especially ideal for lip lines, lines above the mouth, subtle lip support, necklace lines on the neck, and other delicate treatment areas.

PDO lifting threads are designed to help rebuild visible structure and support in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, lower face, neck, and selected body areas. Over the following three to six months, collagen and elastin production may also create a natural firming and plumping effect.

Do smoothing threads require downtime?

Dr. Finger commonly uses PDO smoothing threads above the lips, neck, and knees, and they typically require virtually no downtime. Bruising is uncommon, and most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment. These treatments are often quick, comfortable, affordable, and virtually pain-free.

How much downtime is there after a PDO Thread-Lift?

Dr. Finger performs minimally-invasive PDO Thread-Lift treatments with minimal to no downtime.
PDO lifting threads may cause mild swelling, tenderness, or slight bruising for approximately three to five days, creating temporary social downtime for some patients. Extensive recovery is not required.

Are PDO smoothing threads good for lip lines and necklace lines?

Yes. Dr. Finger frequently uses PDO smoothing threads for vertical lip lines, lines above the lips, necklace lines, and delicate crepey skin because these areas often respond well to collagen stimulation and skin support without extensive recovery.

Can PDO-Threads be used for face and body rejuvenation?

Yes. Dr. E. Ronald Finger uses PDO-Threads for both face and body rejuvenation at Finger and Associates in Savannah, Georgia. PDO smoothing threads are commonly used for lip lines, lines above the mouth, necklace lines, and delicate crepey areas, while PDO lifting threads may help support areas such as the cheeks, jawline, neck, and above-the-knee wrinkles.

PDO-Threads stimulate collagen and elastin fibers over time, helping improve skin texture, firmness, and visible support in multiple treatment areas.

Can PDO-Threads be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Depending on the treatment area and skin concerns, Dr. Finger may combine PDO-Threads with Deep RF, laser rejuvenation, hyper-diluted Radiesse, injectables, and other collagen-stimulating aesthetic treatments to help enhance overall rejuvenation results.

How long can PDO Thread-Lift results last?

Results from PDO lifting threads may last up to 18 months or longer depending on skin quality, collagen production, treatment area, and lifestyle factors. Maintenance treatments may help prolong results over time.

Why choose Dr. E. Ronald Finger for VsoftLift PDO-Threads in Savannah, Georgia?

Dr. E. Ronald Finger has performed PDO Thread-Lift procedures for well over a decade and is considered highly experienced in thread techniques.
